Robert Evans (Founding Director)

Robert studied architecture at Huddersfield School of Architecture before developing his skills at the offices of Norman Foster and Will Alsop. He then moved to Italy looking to gain valuable international experience alongside Toni Follina Architetto in Treviso before returning to the UK to establish Evans Vettori. Robert has lectured extensively at several universities since 1994 and continues to as a visiting tutor for both Sheffield and Nottingham Schools of Architecture. He has also contributed as a design review panelist on OPUN (East Midlands) since 2006 and as a Nottingham Design Review panellist since 2010 as well as giving a range of lectures on the practice’s work to the RIBA and other organisations. In 2014, Robert was awarded RIBA East Midlands ‘Architect of the Year’ in recognition of architectural contributions to the midlands and peak district. Robert also sits on the Editorial Panel for the RIBA Journal.

Dan Greenway (Co-Director)

Dan has worked as Project Director and lead consultant on a number of high profile projects for both public and private sector Clients. As a talented and experienced designer, Dan is able to integrate imaginative architectural solutions with a strong sense of build-ability and long-term sustainability to produce contemporary architecture that is robust and sensitive to context. Dan’s ability to engender trusting relationships with Clients, colleagues and all parties involved with building projects encourage a true spirit of team-working from concept to completion and beyond. Dan currently tutors at Nottingham School of Architecture, is a member of the Derbyshire Dales District Council Advisory Forum and the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site Conservation and Planning Panel.

John Evans (Architectural Assistant)

John had been involved with Evans Vettori for several years as a part-time family staff member and in 2014 took a position in the office as an architectural assistant upon completion of a Master’s Degree at Leeds Metropolitan University. John specialises in 3D computer modelling and production of visualisations – particularly useful for communicating design ideas. 


Matthew Beaumont (Architect)

Matt recently rejoined Evans Vettori in 2022, having previously been part of the team as an Architectural Assistant. After studying at the University of Nottingham and his placement here at Evans Vettori in 2013, Matt relocated to London where he studied at the University of Westminster and gained his ARB accreditation. Matt has returned to Evans Vettori as a Project Architect, leading a variety of projects.


Madeleine Rutherford-Browne (Architectural Assistant)

After Maddie graduated from Nottingham Trent University in Summer 2021 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, she joined the team for her placement year at Evans Vettori Architects as an Architectural Assistant. Maddie’s studies focused on civic projects, where she was able to creatively explore ideas through a range of methods, most favourably computer visualisations, hand drawing and model making.

As of September 2022, Maddie began studying Masters of Architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, and alongside her studies, works part time with Evans Vettori Architects.


Gabriel Toner (Architectural Technologist)

Gabe joined Evans Vettori at the start of 2023 as an Architectural Technologist, after graduating from De Montfort University with a Bacherlor’s Degree in Architectural Technology. During his time at university, Gabe focused on 3D BIM modelling, building technology and technical detailing.

Since joining the team, Gabe has assisted on a range of sectors and projects, including heritage works and bespoke residential schemes.
